New rack systems for Reno-area warehouses
Pallet Rack
Direct access to each pallet. Beam levels and aisles matched to your loads and lift trucks.
Pushback Rack
Several pallets per lane, worked from one aisle. A density option where lane-level LIFO fits.
Pallet Flow Rack
Gravity-fed pallet lanes with separate loading and picking faces for FIFO rotation.
Drive-In Rack
Forklift-entry lanes for deep inventories with fewer SKUs and planned retrieval order.
Cantilever Rack
Open-front arms for lumber, pipe, bar stock and building materials.
Carton Flow Rack
Gravity-fed carton lanes separating replenishment from the hand-picking face.
Warehouse racking built around the operation
Reno-Sparks distribution serves California and the Western states from I-80 and I-580 / US-395. TRIC in McCarran, the Sparks industrial area along Glendale Avenue and Greg Street, and North Valleys around Stead and Lemmon Drive do not present the same storage problem. Start with inventory turns, pallet sizes and receiving volume before selecting the rack.
Older Airport-area and Glendale buildings commonly offer roughly 18–28 ft clear height. Tall bulk storage needs a different level count and aisle plan. We compare usable pallet positions against forklift reach, column spacing and the access each SKU requires.
Dense reserve or direct pallet access?
Selective pallet rack gives access to individual loads. Pushback and drive-in favor deeper inventory by SKU; pallet flow separates replenishment and retrieval for FIFO. Carton flow supports repeated hand picking, while cantilever carries lumber, pipe and other long products.
Nevada’s Freeport law means goods held in transit for out-of-state shipment are not subject to inventory tax. Large West Coast reserve inventories make storage cube important, but dense lanes only work when the stock profile supports them. We keep the retrieval sequence visible in the layout.
Plan the install without blocking your dock
Hot, dry summers and freezing winter nights affect crews and staging in mostly non-air-conditioned buildings. Agree on the work zones, unload space and active travel paths before installation starts. New rack systems are anchored to the floor.
Donner Pass snow on I-80 can disrupt inbound freight. Reserve receiving space and identify which installation zones can proceed independently. A drawing should show how warehouse traffic continues, not just where the steel stands.
